Daniel Rosen

Daniel is an associate with Goldenberg Nahmias LLP whose practice focuses on corporate-commercial and intellectual property matters related to the music, film, television and digital media industries.

Daniel’s passion for music led him to becoming an entertainment lawyer. As a musician, songwriter, and artist manager, Daniel understands first-hand what it is like to be an artist and performer, bringing that unique perspective, knowledge, and experience to his representation of clients. Daniel enjoys working with a variety of clients, ranging from emerging and well-established artists to music companies and film/television producers.

Daniel obtained his law degree from Western University, where he was President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Association, Vice-President of the Western Intellectual Property Association, and Chair of the Obiter Dicta charity talent show. Prior to joining Goldenberg Nahmias LLP, Daniel practiced in the business and corporate commercial group at Canada’s largest law firm, and as an associate at a boutique entertainment law firm based in Toronto.

Before law school, Daniel was a lecturer in the Music Research & Composition department at Western University, where he taught music production, music history, and songwriting. In 2018 and 2019, Daniel also lectured for Windsor Law’s Advanced Business Law course. Staying true to his love of teaching, Daniel can often be found giving lectures on music and law, and frequently gives talks at Artscape, where he mentors up and coming artists.

When Daniel is not practicing law, he can be found teaching and practicing yoga, playing with his band Halfway, or spending time with his fiancé Anna and their dog, Maui.
